In 1971, Priscilla Wright wrote a song based on the prophesies of Joel. It was a scripture song like many of its era, with verses that quote a biblical passage verbatim and a music style that mimics Jewish folk song. We ended up singing it on a Joyful Noise Sunday, so I wrote a quick little arrangement for strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion. Email me if you need a score.

Thank you for this posting with the audio clip. I could find precious little about Priscilla Wright and the story behind her composing this song.
Priscilla had written many songs in the late 60s/early 70s as a member of Church of the Redeemer in Houston, TX. The Lord was giving fresh songs to many in the church’s Fisher Folk music ministry, which she was not a part of. Her musical abilities extended well beyond her time and availability as a single parent of three young children, but the Lord met her in the midst of her many struggles, filling her with His peace and song. Her life’s many testimonies of the strength and faithfulness of the Lord are what, as her daughter, led me back to Him as an adult. She went to be with her Savior in 2014. I’m grateful the Lord has honored her memory with the preservation of one of her songs.
I’m so glad you wrote, Bunni! It’s a beautiful testament to her as a mother and as a songwriter.
