A project that’s been brewing in my mind for some time is a song cycle called One Long Year, a set of songs chronicling the unraveling of the protagonist’s life over the course of a year. I decided that this was the year to tackle it, and plan to finish it by the end of FAWM (February Album Writing Month). Below is the outline. Check back often to see how I’m progressing through the musical year.
- New Year’s Eve
- Valentine’s Day
- Ash Wednesday
- St. Patrick’s Day
- July 4/Summer
- Halloween/All Saints’ Day
- Birthday
- Christmas
- Postlude
- New Year’s Eve
